I grew up in McAdoo, Pennsylvania. McAdoo is a small town that owes its existence to Anthracite coal mining. I have coal cracker in my blood. I’ll give my time spent in the Greater McAdoo Area a mixed review with many great life experiences and a few disappointments.

Now I reside in Bloomsburg. The town has many positives that make living here a plus. The population is relatively small and fits nicely into a pleasing geographical setting. Nestled alongside the Susquehanna River, it enjoys the rivers amenities; swimming, boating, wildlife and resting views. Bloomsburg sports an airport, public library, town park, university, hospital, community theater, community pool, a school district, a famous fair and friendly people.

Additionally it is the Columbia County Seat with several exits off of interstate highway 80. It is a democratic stronghold in an otherwise republican county. The downtown has survived the mall onslaught and supports a lively art community.

I’m currently busying myself as a writer; childrens’ books, song lyrics, a webpage and a forthcoming memoir.

I’m happy to live here.
