Welcome to the Sunrise Movement at Commonwealth University, formally Bloomsburg University. They are a local chapter of the national Sunrise Movement. Dedicated to stopping the climate crisis and creating millions of good paying jobs in the process, their goals are to make fighting climate change an urgent public priority, end the influence of fossil fuel executives on politics and elect leaders who prioritize the well being of all communities.

To that end they plan a peaceful protest on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 12 noon at the Bloomsburg fountian. Participants will be meeting on the Academic Quad and then walking downtown in solidarity. Arrive at Quad 30 minutes before noon.
