(Sing to “Johnny Comes Marching Home, Hoorah, Hoorah)

Millionaires/Billionaires Go Marching On, Beware, Beware

Millionaires/Billionaires Go Marching On, Beware, Beware

They’ll Suit Themselves, Just Watch Them Go

They Count On The Fact That You’ll Never Know

And They Count Their Gains With Every Step They Take

I hope you get the picture. Vast amounts of money have gotten us a government run by wealthy people. Trump and his people are hugely wealthy. Indications are that he is going to reward his supporters with tax cuts, less regulations, blowing up the national debt, an all out push for fossil fuels (drill, baby drill), cryptocurrency, deporting millions of people, etc.

Keep in mind that these people believe in the basic tenet of capitalism; make as large a profit as possible. To do so involves producing a market worthy product/service, eliminating competition, holding labor/production costs to a minimum and minimizing/eliminating all applicable regulations. Pure and simple. Most businesses do not operate on true capitalism. One way or another they embrace government corporate welfare. They love to suck on the teets of generous government corporate welfare programs that they euphemistically call “incentives”. There are hundreds of local, county, state and federal “incentive” vehicles. Taxpayers pick up the lost tax revenues, realize reduced government funding for communty programs or watch governments go into debt.

Trump’s troops, led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are coming after Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and scores of other programs/funding that average Americans have come to rely upon. They will not touch defense spending or “incentives” for Big Ag, Pharma, Auto, Insurance, Medical or any big corporate donors. To appease the MAGA crowd they will scrape a few crumbs off the table.

They admit that there will pain for average Americans (MAGA people included) but it will be worth it over a long term. Of course there will be no pain for the millionaires and billionaires. They are so wealthy that none of this will affect them in any way. There is no way that they can relate to average Americans. They talk the talk but they don’t walk the walk. Frankly, we are insignificant.

Let’s see if Musk loses his government corporate welfare?
