One of Trump’s strategies is to throw red “meat” to the MAGA crowd. He needs to keep them on board while he is short changing them.
Erasing history or denying historical understanding is one of his targets. He attempts to leave no stone unturned. He will support banning books, changing military base names, putting back statues/plaques, curtailing education curriculums, prohibiting museum exhibits, etc.
He will attempt to deny acknowledgement of emerging science regarding gender. You are either a male or a female. You are a “he” or a “she”. He will attempt to deny constitutional rights to marginalized citizens.
He proclaims that the JFK Center for the Performing Arts will no longer be “woke”. Trump exhibits dinosaur tendencies as the world wakes up to both new discoveries and previously hidden knowledge.
He will lose this battle as people always thirst for the truth. Being woke means an endless search for truth that ends with death. It is an educational and self-fulfilling adventure that all humans must embrace. Otherwise, we face an existence tantamount to a Hollywood facade. Self-realization and self-determination are powerful motivators.
Trump cannot hold back these forces. He is doomed to failure.
