Who doesn’t love their children? I have often heard people say they are the future. I see people lavish their children with all sorts of benefits. There is nothing wrong with that. It is an expected behavior.
Enter the reality of the world. Most children are not lavished with anything except poverty. They do not come from wealth. Millions of children starve to death every year, one every 10 seconds. They are subjected to war, famine, inadequate housing, clothing, medical care, clean water and opportunity. Their educational opportunities range from nothing to mediocrity.
This is a monumental disaster and failure in the modern world. The wealthy, connected and powerful, whether they are individuals, corporations or governments are driving the bus on this. They control government spending from A to Z. Look at corporate welfare as an example.They are not blind nor are they stupid. They suffer from insecurity manifested as greed, callousness, and a lust for power.
It is beyond comprehension to believe that any religion, philosophy or charismatic individuals can bring a solution to this. This requires a worldwide lifting of critical mass thinking. The majority of the world must intellectually eviscerate the above insecurity. It is obsolete thinking. The world needs a new paradigm!
Well, I’m not holding my breath on this. Humans have historically proved to be genetically pruned, aggressive and vicious. They are inhumane towards their own species and speciesist towards all others.
The heretofore mentioned lifting of critical mass thinking requires that everyone get a first rate education. To me, it is our only hope.
It is impossible and immoral to turn a blind eye to this. The children who are starving and abused are no different than our own. No different!
