Those dam Progressives are at it again. Approximately 50 candidates running for congressional seats talking about health care for all, a living wage, eliminating corporate welfare, more funding for elder care, more funding for children, more funding for education, taking on genocide in Gaza, etc. Most of the candidates are Progressive Ds, Independents or Green Party. Where are the centrist, donor class Ds supporting the above issues? They are looking for sticks, stones and tacs to derail this movement. They are far and few because they simply don’t support these issues. Vote them out!
Speaking of Congress, they now work Tuesday through Thursday, enjoy excellent health care, look forward to handsome pensions and, because of gerrymandering on both sides, are almost guaranteed re-election. They are pandered, steered, and controlled by 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year lobbying from Big PhRMA, Big Ag, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Realtors, Business Roundtable, American Hospital Association, American Medical Association, AARP, General Motors, American Chemistry Council, NRA, etc., etc., etc. You get the picture. Very few, if anyone advocating for consumers, taxpayers, elderly, children, schools and so on. It is disgusting!
It was just another day at the National Press Club. Senator Schumer, known by his nickname, the Senator from Wall Street, was the main speaker. Known for taking hundreds of thousands of dollars in Israeli lobby money, he is a congressional leader in supporting Israel’s genocide in Gaza. His counterpart in the House, Hakeem Jeffries, who takes large sums of money from AIPAC, just had a private sit down with who? That’s right, Jared Kushner, son-in-law of Trump. Schumer and Jeffries should be removed from leadership positions. 62% of polled Ds want them out.
50 Republican Senators voted to advance the fiscal year 2027 National Defense Authorization Act that includes a controversial AIPAC endorsed U.S.-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative. This assures future taxpayer money going to fund the Israeli military. A rising majority of Americans are opposed to this.
According to American journalist, author, and former lawyer, Glenn Greenwald, AOC has become the consummate Nancy Pelosi Jr. She is the Democratic Party’s most valuable partisan tool having lost her defiant edge and passion for justice. Unlike most Progressives, she hedges on support for eliminating all military support for Israel. She is muted and deferential as many have noticed. Research this.
Public Citizen, a Nader organized and founded group (1971), recently held its annual gala at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Its keynote speaker was AIPAC money recipient and advocate for the nuclear power industry, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse of RI. As you might suspect, Nader began distancing himself from Public Citizen, beginning in 1980. He completed the task after the 2000 elections when they got weak-kneed about his role in presidential politics. Research this.
