I think Smerconish practices unbalanced reporting. He brings on O’Brien, a PA data center developer and front man to talk up data centers but NO counter perspective. This is weak as water reporting. He is from PA and knows that there are many quite capable people who could counter data center proponents like Shapiro and O’Brien. He allowed the China scare tactic to be used without rebuttal. He allowed the national security tactic to be used without rebuttal. To me, that is lopsided journalism.
Over 90% of Ds want Trump impeached NOW!. A solid majority of independents and swing voters want him impeached! Yes, even some Rs support impeachment NOW! Unfortunately, some corporate Ds and Democrat leadership (Jeffries et al) are not pushing impeachment. Vote them out!
The Pentagon cannot pass a federally required financial audit. It has almost 5 trillion in assets both domestically and abroad (The United States of War, David Vine). There are massive amounts of fraud, waste and financial mismanagement over decades. War is expensive and it never gets us to true and lasting peace. Investigate! Prosecute!
Nader has called out the gross underestimation of the death toll in Gaza. Probative evidence from UN agencies, international relief groups, academics specializing in armed conflict casualty estimates and health workers back from volunteering in Gaza’s crumbling hospitals put death estimates in the hundreds of thousands, many being children. Many dead remain under the rubble and if you count in related fatalities from untreated diseases, injuries, famine, lack of food, water and medicine, healthcare, shelter, fuel and electricity the death toll could exceed 500,000.
Nuclear power is inherently dangerous and unaffordable. It is a dangerous welfare Queen eyed by terrorist groups and destruction during conflicts (Ukraine). Remember the Three Mile Island meltdown, Chernobyl meltdown and Fukushima meltdown.
The genocide continues in Gaza and Palestinians in the West Bank are being haradded and killed. Meanwhile, Israel continues to be led by indicted war criminals and supported by Trump, Rs and corporate Ds. Research how much money these people have received and are getting from AIPAC.
Eliminating corporate welfare at the local, state and federal levels in favor of true capitalism and absolute local control of economic/community plans is long overdue. Every major industry is in on this in one way or another. Research it. CW comes in a variety of ways so be thorough.
Regardless of the propaganda we hear from haters of public education and the decades long underfunding and misapplication of funds, public education is working. Can it be improved? Yes, of course. It is a key component to local communities taking control of their futures and out of the hands of state and federal jurisdictions. Local talent exists and local governments are where the decision making powers must be. Use community consensus and the ballot for the good of the local community.
